and dominated the action against the Yellowjackets, who graduated many key players from last year's team that reached the state semifinals.
Alex
Vantiem scored two goals and added four assists for the Cubs. Josh Nemes had three goals and three assists and Mac Olson scored four

The
game was a home-coming of sorts for Jesuit Head Coach Sean Leary. Leary was a three-year varsity player for Country Day and was an
assistant coach under longtime Country Day Head Coach John Kenny. This was Leary's first game back at Country Day as the Jesuit coach.
The Yellowjackets won the MHSAA Division 2 Championship in Leary's last year as an assistant in 2005. He also won a state title as
a player for Country Day.
Leary guided Jesuit to a regional title last year in his first year as a head coach before falling to three-time
defending Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 1 Champion Bloomfield Hills Brother Rice in the state semifinals.
