The heavy favorite heading into Saturday’s annual meet, defending Division 2 state champion Mercy didn’t disappoint, winning its fifth straight county title by earning 335 points.
So when the 6-foot junior from Portage Central slammed one of those aforementioned balls inside Plainwell’s 10-foot-line in Saturday’s Greater Kalamazoo Invitational, it was a moment of volleyball beauty.
