StudentandAthlete.com features positive coverage of the accomplishments of students on the athletic field, in the classroom, in the community, on the stage in band, orchestra and drama, and in competition in debate, forensics, robotics, etc.
We have a different perspective than the large media organizations on what is school news. We want to celebrate what is "right" about today's young people in our photos and stories. We highlight the successes of incredible young adults every day. We hope our coverage inspires other young adults to also soar to heights they never dreamed of. We also include in important messages about drug and alcohol abuse prevention, college preparation, racial and religious tolerance, among other things.
We started off small covering only the Birmingham/Bloomfield area, as we are not supported by one of the big media organizations. We have expanded each semester since our launch two years ago. You can now find daily coverage of schools throughout Metro Detroit and all parts of the state. Our web site is updated daily by 8 a.m. with the previous day's scores and highlights.

Sports or Competition Results: Call our results hotline at 248-327-4814 as soon as possible after the game or event ends. Please include date, location, sport or activity, complete results, highlights, and leave contact phone or email in case we have additional questions.
Press Releases, Feature Stories, Coaches Openings: Email us articles about your team or activitiy, upcoming events, coaches openings or other news of interest to info@studentandathlete.com
Sending Faxes: You can send faxes to 248-327-4815.
Photos: Our photographers are at many events each day, but we cannot be everywhere. We strongly encourage students and parents to email us your game or activities photos for publication. We update our site daily, so we need the photos as soon as possible after the event to publish. To ensure the best reproduction on our site, please email high-resolution photos (i.e. don't make your photos smaller to fit more in an email). Email photos to photo@studentandathlete.com. If you have lots of photos, please email us and we can give you access to our FTP site for downloading multiple photos quickly. Professional photographers shooting at high schools are also encouraged to contact us.
