2016 MHSAA Finals

Saturday, March 19

At Breslin Center, Michigan State University

 

Class A

2016 champion: Warren Cousino

 

Warren Cousino (23-4) 67, No. 4 Detroit Martin Luther King (23-2) 65

Despite being double and triple teamed the entire game, Kierra Fletcher scored 27 points to lead Cousino. She added eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Mackenzie Anderson had 20 points, six rebounds, and two assists. Kate McArthur had 13 points and seven rebounds in the victory. Micaela Kelly had 34 points for King.

Jill Konkle scored 13 points to lead Marshall. Taryn Long and Emily Delmotte both scored 10 points. Nicole Tucker had eight points and five rebounds. Carlee Long added six points and five assists in the win.

Nastassja Chambers scored 14 points and had three rebounds, three assists, and three steals to lead Arbor Prep. Cydney Williams had 10 points, 11 rebounds, two blocks, and two steals. Adrienne Anderson had eight points and eight blocks in the win.

Maddie Clark had 23 points, 10 rebounds, and four steals to lead Pittsford. Jaycie Burger added 11 points, three assists and four steals. Madison Ayers had eight points, three rebounds, two blocks, and two steals in the win.

Kierra Fletcher had one of the best semifinal games in MHSAA history with 37 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals for Cousino. Kate McArthur added 13 points in the win.

Jennifer DeBoer scored 18 points and added three assists and three steals to lead South Christian. Markayla Vander14 points and five rebounds. Mariel Bruxvoort had 10 points and five rebounds. Sydney DeYoung added six points and 11 rebounds in the win.

Nicole Tucker nailed two free throws with 1.4 seconds left on the clock to lift Marshall past John Glenn. Tucker finished with 14 points and seven rebounds. Taryn Long had 10 points. Jill Konkle added seven points and five rebounds. Emily Delmotte had six points and five rebounds.
