Mustangs stop Gazelles

Bloomfield Hills Marian pounds Bloomfield Hills Academy of the Sacred Heart in Michigan high school girls lacrosse action on Tuesday, May 9, 2017

   Bloomfield Hills Marian powered past Bloomfield Hills Academy of the Sacred Heart 22-2 in a Catholic High School League Division 1 girls lacrosse semifinal game at Sacred Heart on Tuesday, May 9.

   Marian led 10-1 at halftime.

   Kaylin Meehan scored six goals to lead Marian. Mia Hannawa and Emily Frye both scored three goals in the win. Amanda Timmis, Lauren Cosgrove, Annie Thorensen, and Tessy Klein each totaled two goals. Faith Giltner and Kellie Dugan both added goals in the win.

   Carinne Jarvis earned the victory in goal.

   Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood plays Farmington Hills Mercy on Thursday, May 11, in the other semifinal.

   The winner advances to face Marian in the final on Saturday, May 13, at 3 p.m.
