Eaglets eliminate Raiders

Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Preparatory beats North Farmington in MHSAA boys basketball district opener on Monday, March 6, 2017

 

   Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Preparatory pulled away in the second half to beat North Farmington 58-42 on Monday, March 6, in its Michigan High School Athletic Association Class A, District 21 boys basketball opener at Farmington.

  St. Mary’s led favored North Farmington 27-25 at halftime. North Farmington (11-9) reached the MHSAA Class A final last season.

  Junior Caden Prieskorn led the Eaglets with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Two-sport star and Michigan-bound senior Josh Ross scored 10 points and had six rebounds. Senior Clarence Wilson had 15 points in the win. Junior Geordon Duncan added eight points.

  St. Mary’s (14-6) advances to face Farmington Hills Harrison on Wednesday, March 8.
